It was in September 1947 that Albert Pougnier, a baker and confectioner, and his wife purchased a grocery-print store, Au Petit Florissant 3, chemin de Malombré.

The son of a market gardener, Albert Pougnier found himself in his element here. But his entrepreneurial spirit spurred him on to innovate, and a year later a patisserie with a laboratory adjoined the grocery store.

At the center of the village, a small, but highly successful pastry shop was opened.

From 1950 onwards, the A.Pougnier store became a favorite among Geneva's gourmets. To this day, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations work together to run this family business, which today boasts eight boutiques.

The A.Pougnier family has a long tradition of success.
