The key is our name:
.Why AGAPE? - From ancient Greek, the term indicates an immeasurable love of universal care.
Why NURSING? - from English indicates the practice of care that places the bio-psycho-social well-being of the person at the center, rather than the disease itself.
Our home care service, with its qualified, motivated and qualitatively growing staff, provides the person in need and his or her family with a quality of life, daily well-being , health care and accompaniment to death, while respecting individual needs.
We also offer an innovative service that promotes the maintenance of the autonomy of the elderly and people with bio-psycho-social difficulties so that they can remain at home.
Nursing has long evolved. In the modern era, education pays special attention to nursing history as it seeks to use and develop theoretical models for its practice . Conceptual models of nursing generate knowledge that enhances practice and guides its research. Progressively, the profession has developed its own body of knowledge.
The conceptual evolution of nursing has also incorporated theories from non-nursing sources, including theories of systems, human needs, change, problem solving, and decision making, thus leading to the formation of a body of evidence-based knowledge, supported by thousands of studies in all areas of nursing, that shapes the new nursing professional today.
The rational organization of care produced by the nurse is geared to meet both general and more specific needs of sick people or healthy or even dying people (Henderson).
For those who identify nursing as a logical-systematic process, we find as common elements:
- Assessment: process of systematic data collection. The purpose of this first phase is to describe, as completely as possible, the clinical-record situation of the patient taken in charge, defining as precisely as possible its general picture (holistic view of the assisted)
- Diagnosis: interpretation of data from the assessment according to the hypothesis-guidelines, in assessing the patient's needs, drawing a final judgment.
- Planning: development of goals and interventions aimed at elevating the patient's socio-psycho-physiological health status (well-being)
- Implementation: implementation of the plan of care through planned nursing interventions.
- Evaluation: determination of patient responses to nursing interventions and the degree of success in achieving goals
The tool that enables us to analyze, deepen and highlight patients' needs, limitations and resources is the RAI-HC; it allows us to conduct a multidimensional, scientifically validated and internationally recognized assessment.
