Thermography makes energy loss or hidden gaps in thermal insulation visible
The savings potential can be estimated using a thermal imaging camera and on-site measurements.
The measurement data can be transferred to a PC and displayed in animated form.
We are available at any time for recording appointments and measurements with our TESTO thermal imaging camera. Contact us.

More than craftsmanship by the book
H. Riedwyl Dämmtechnik GmbH has been insulating plants and installations in building services engineering, the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries since 1996.
On-time delivery and high-quality craftsmanship are our top priorities.
We base our work on the applicable cantonal energy regulations and fire regulations.
We only use tested materials for insulation. This is how we secure our customers' systems and installations and optimize their energy balance.
NUTRISWISS has been working with H. Riedwyl Dämmtechnik GmbH since 2005.
Faucet cushions: handmade by Riedwyl
In our workshop, we manufacture heat-resistant insulating blankets, cushions, caps, mats and sleeves for the individual insulation of fittings, valves, pipes, etc. This enables flexible thermal insulation at every installation and offers excellent protection for people and infrastructure - even in the tightest of spaces.

Insulation of steam generators and pipes
Insulation of steam generators and steam pipes enables the temperature of the medium to be maintained
Protection from the cold, outside and inside
Cold insulation in building services or industry extends the service life of systems and reduces environmental impact and costs.
The ambient and operating temperature and the relative humidity of the ambient air are used to calculate the necessary insulation for the system. To prevent condensation and condensation water in the insulation material and on the surface of the system, we install closed-cell insulation materials with a flow-tight and diffusion-inhibiting vapor barrier.

Cold protection but the right way
Cold insulation is only effective if the right materials are used, sometimes in multiple layers and seamlessly processed to the right thickness. H. Riedwyl Dämmtechnik uses the following materials for cold insulation:
- Conservation / corrosion protection in front of PIR formwork with grease bandage / attachment compound
- PIR formwork with cotton bandages and HESCO Tex coating (vapor/water-tight)
with PVC or sheet metal sheathing
- Sheet metal cladding with subsequent foaming with PIR local foam (AB component)
- Synthetic rubber
- ARMAFLEX
Protect against noise with sound insulation
Whether at home, at work or in public areas, intrinsic noise puts a strain on people. Noise sources can however, be isolated at the point of emission using suitable sound insulation. Vibration and disturbing flow noises in pipelines can be insulated.
We specialize in the production of individual sound insulation in building and operating technology applicable to:
- Piping
- Compressors
- Boilers
- Furnaces
- Fans
- Emergency power systems
- Machinery and equipment
- Ceilings & walls
Combined insulation
If required, talk to us about the possibilities of combined insulation. We will be happy to advise you.
Fire insulation and cladding
Constructional fire protection increases the heat resistance of systems and installations in building technology and industry. To prevent the spread of fires, we create horizontal and vertical, fire-resistant fire protection cladding and penetration seals in accordance with today's binding fire protection regulations for:
- Electrical and IT cables
- Electrical routes and cables
- Electrical cable ducts
- Ventilation systems
- Building ceilings
- Steel girders
- Ventilation ducts
- Heating, cooling and sanitary pipes
- Rise zones and breakthroughs
- Installation shafts
Reference work
- Fire protection structure vertical and horizontal with PROTECTOR R90
- Guided through bulkhead for all metal pipes
- Suitable for cold and heat
- Fire protection sleeves must be installed for penetration with PVC plastic pipes
Fire prevention
We use the following heat-resistant ISO materials as protection to prevent the spread of fire and smoke
- rock wool granulate / mineral wool insulation
- Armaflex R90 Protector, S2 and S3 (self-extinguishing material and halogen free)
- Molded glass shells / rock wool shells
- Fire protection sleeves (PVC/plastic pipes)
- Fire protection mortar (at penetrations, horizontal/vertical)
- Bramat slabs (for riser zones, ventilation ducts and steel beams)
- Fire protection joints (doors, windows, building services)
- High-temperature fire protection: wire mesh mats, fire protection mats or ceramic fiber boards
Fire protection in building technology
Form escape routes by separating rooms and sealing off
We provide passageways, openings and other openings with fire-resistant fire protection sleeves we secure escape routes by sealing off fire dampers and insulate smoke and fire-resistant cable ducts, ventilation ducts, pipes and electrical routes with:
- Soft insulation installation, coated on one or two sides with fire protection filler
- ARMATEX R90
- Rock wool (heat)
- Fire protection foam
- Fire protection mastic
- Foamglas
- Fire protection mortar
Ventilation fire protection
Channel/riser zone insulation, horizontal and vertical, 4-sided,
Breakthroughs, ducts/conduits and pipes, cable routes with:
- Rubber
- Fire protection panels (tested) Flumroc, Paroc (aluminum-coated)
- Bramat and Fermacell fire protection mats
- Brick wool panels with aluminum coating, fire protection effect EI-30 (50 mm) , Ei-60 (60 mm or 70 mm double-layered) and EI-90 (100 mm insulation thickness)
- Pipe fire protection insulation always 100 mm
The fire resistance of fire protection closures and penetration seals is at least 30 minutes (EI-30).
Fire protection regulation
Safe is safe: At H.Riewyl Dämmtechnik GmbH, the planning and implementation of fire protection measures are based on the binding fire protection regulations and the fire protection standard of Switzerland (VKF/AEAI).

Insulating air ducts and air pipes
In order to reduce heat loss, to prevent condensation when the temperature falls below the dew point and to prevent sound radiation, air ducts and air lines must be insulated.
The system components are packed with the insulating material after installation
According to the ventilation specifications, e.g. air temperature in the ducts and pipes,
Room air temperature and humidity, air mass flow, duct or pipe dimensions, position and
Installation location of the duct or air duct, the insulation layer thicknesses can be calculated
Combined insulation
The following combined insulation techniques are available:
Heat-combined insulation
Heat and cold generators in ventilation technology
Monobloc with heating/cooling coil for heating and cooling
Shock media, freeze-drying (heat-cold/)
In the food and pharmaceutical industries, alternating media (cold / heat or steam) must be transported in the same pipe
transported without insulation defects occurring.
Thermal / sound insulation
Reduce air and rattling noises
Air noise and media in transport systems (nuts, grain, beverage lids and wood chip systems, etc.) can be insulated on the inside in multiple layers with K-FONIK mats or rock wool mats and panels as sound insulation
Wrapping with various types of aluminum sheet.
Noise / fire protection
Open-plan offices, as room partitioning for machinery and apparatus engineering, etc.
In conference and meeting rooms, for example in patient meeting rooms in hospitals with:
- Acoustic/ sound insulation panels, inserted into hollow ceiling panels
- IDIKEL (flame retardant)
- K-FOHN mats and panels (with bitumen coating), multi-layered
- Stone wool mats or panels
- Wrapping with various types of aluminum sheet
Insulation of loading and refueling facilities
Insulation on the outside of large facilities for loading cold and hot media such as fuels, tar, bitumen, acids, oils, foodstuffs such as sugar, grain, etc.
