In 1963
Takeover of the Pellet business by Emilia and Umberto SIMEONI. Strictly speaking, this was not a store, but a small area with no roof, no shelter and no heating, rented from the city of Geneva.
This was the entrance attached to the main entrance where our stores are located today. It no longer exists.
Umberto takes his horticultural diploma by attending evening classes and with Emilia's help to get him to revise after dinner. The days were long and hard, but with hard work and perseverance, the results came and enabled the small business to grow quietly.
In 1978
Creation of the "Laure-Fleurs" flower store in the center of the village of Petit-Lancy with Laura, the daughter, a qualified florist with a federal diploma who took over the business under her own name in 1982 to this day and is still active.
In 1982
It was then that a proposal from a nearby competitor enabled the company to take over a second store and establishment.
Marino, the son, joined his parents to assist them while continuing to take horticultural and florist diplomas. He was voted best apprentice in Geneva in 1980 with the Conseil d'Etat prize.
In 1985
The arrival of computers in our offices...
In 1991
Marino is seconded by Florence (his future wife), who takes charge of the new Simeoni-Fleurs graphics and logos and the store's decoration and set-up.
In 2000
Successful affiliation to the Fleurop-Interflora network. Our store was the first Fleurop store in Switzerland (out of 350) in 2014 and 2015 as the member fulfilling the highest number of orders.
In 2001
Obtainment of certification by the F.A.C. of the "le spécialiste" diploma. In July 2014
We moved to a temporary store at 12 chemin Daniel-Ihly (50m away) after the sale of our plot.
In September 2017
Opening of our new store.
