A team of doctors and nurses at the Interdisciplinary Emergency Center provides emergency medical care, day after day, night after night.
The emergency practice of Baden Cantonal Hospital is open 365 days a year from 08:00 - 23:00 . General practitioners from the Baden and Brugg districts and doctors from the emergency ward work together here. Injuries and illnesses of all kinds are treated, including so-called minor medical cases.

The Kantonsspital Baden (KSB) is a public, highly specialized acute hospital. With the departments of surgery, internal medicine and nursing, the Women's and Children's Hospital as well as the eight interdisciplinary centers Obesity, Exercise, breast-, bladder and pelvic floor-,bowel-, vascular and tumor center as well as the outpatient surgery center, we have clearly positioned ourselves medically.

In the 2016 financial year, Kantonsspital Baden treated 19,514 inpatients, which corresponds to an increase of 1.9 percent compared to 2015. The average length of stay was 5.7 days. The case mix index reached 0.952 - an indication that more medically demanding cases tended to be treated. The bed occupancy rate was 83.2%, putting Baden Cantonal Hospital above the national average. Over 108,000 patients were registered in the outpatient area.
