Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande - ENSR International School – Contacts & Location
Description
Private school in Lausanne
On a campus where places of study, physical activities and awakening are united within a magnificent green space, Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande prepares for life and exams by respecting individuality while valuing diversity, by privileging experience while developing knowledge.
The ENSR welcomes a majority of Swiss students, but also reserves a special place for foreign students looking for a friendly, family-oriented environment, difficult to find in a large "international" structure. ENSR's human-scale structure, this multicultural contribution and the multilingualism fostered with the practice of English starting in kindergarten, represent a major asset, enabling each student to enrich themselves through contact with their peers.
With the joy of learning as the overriding objective, the quality of teaching relies on appropriately sized classes, motivated and experienced teachers, effective teaching methods and a good infrastructure. The idyllic setting in which ENSR is located enables every student to develop intellectually and morally, as well as physically, thanks to the many sporting activities on offer. Indeed, sport is a major asset in the lives of ENSR students, and the campus boasts numerous facilities.

Mission statement/Guiding principles
L'Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande is a private educational institution whose principal mission is to prepare children and adolescents to assume a role as responsible individuals in a changing society and in any human community to which they will belong. The School is secular and strives to ensure that all students feel comfortable with their personal convictions and encourage them to explore them further.
L'Ecole Nouvelle
L'Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande is a co-educational private school whose legal structure is a non-profit limited company. Founded in 1906, this renowned private institution has spanned the century, reaching an enrolment of over 600 students.
SCHOOL: it remains fully so by being the privileged place for the transmission of knowledge.
NEW: it is so through its capacity for anticipation and innovation.
SUISSE ROMANDE: it is anchored in this part of the Lake Geneva arc close to the Latin and Germanic worlds, where it enjoys a privileged position at the center of Europe.
The educational project
The quality of teaching is guaranteed by respect for the ideals of its founder, Edouard Vittoz: "aiming to enhance individuality, interpreting programs with flexibility, promoting joyful collaboration."
The quality of supervision is assured daily by a competent, high-level teaching staff, supporting students by establishing a relationship of trust.
The quality of the environment is enhanced by a pleasant and safe geographical setting, located on the heights of Lausanne and including landscaped sports areas.
International vocation:School Nouvelle promotes international understanding, multilingualism through early learning of English, then German, and welcoming non-French-speaking students.
