Description
Ballet Academy / Pilates Therapy
The KiBA Tanz Akademie was founded in 1999 as a children's ballet - today's Tanzakademie rechter Zürichsee -, under the direction of Anna Simondi Imwinkelried. The school offers classical ballet and a contemporary dance programme to children from the age of 5 and teenagers. The school is recognised by dance suisse as a professional ballet school. In 2002 Anna Simondi opened the first Pilates studio in Meilen and the surrounding area. Classes are held in groups or as personal training.
A graduate ballet dancer of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Anna Simondi danced for 12 years on the stages of the opera houses of Düsseldorf and Zurich (Zurich Ballet) and at countless guest venues as a soloist and semi-soloist. Later she was a soloist with the Movers in Zurich and with the Cathy Sharp Company, Basel. Today, the mother of two is a trained and certified Pilates contrology teacher, as well as the owner and director of TAnZ Akademie rechter Zürichsee GmbH. As a ballet master, she trained the top young athletes in rhythmic gymnastics at the Zurich Gymnastics Association ztv. She is the initiator, co-founder and training director of the swiss offspring ballet association.
Every two years she directs and choreographs the TanZ Academy performances. Anna Simondi-Imwinkelried has contemporary and classical choreographies in her repertoire. During her active career she worked with internationally renowned choreographers such as: M. Béjart, R. Petit, H. Spoerli, P. Bortoluzzi, P. Wyss, I. Meassine, E. Walter, U. Scholz, B. Bienart, J. Craniko, L. Hoche, G. Balanchine, H. van Manen, V. Nijinsky, M. Ek, N. Christie, etc.

Children's dance
for girls and boys in 1st and 2nd kindergarten.
Kindertanz is both a pedagogically and dance-wise carefully developed program that introduces children to classical ballet in a playful way. Just as with the transition to first grade, children are then ready to train their bodies in a deliberate and joyful controlled way.

Ballet - Preliminary to Level 6
Ballet
After the children's dance level, the children are ready and motivated to go one step further and learn the technique of ballet. With the KiBa - training program, a gradual, academic training is completed and finished with a certificate of KiBa. Training is based on the Russian Waganova-Cecchetti method and the system of the Accademia del Teatro alle Scala di Milano, which ultimately also administers the stage exams. Additional lessons help the children to prepare for the exams.
Highly talented students find in KiBa a springboard to enter a professional academy. Due to the well-founded basic training (Waganova-Cecchetti method), the cooperation with the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala di Milano and the contact to the taZ Zurich, the children and young people can be auditioned. Pupils are also regularly prepared for international competitions.

In our everyday life we miss moments in which we can consciously and specifically strengthen and regenerate ourselves physically and mentally. The birthplace of Hip Hop was the street and conquered as a modern dance style now stages and TV. This rhythm, movement and expressive style promotes coordination, musicality and strengthens the own body awareness. We run Hip Hop classes in three age groups and thus follow the great needs that this dance style arouses due to its popularity.

Modern (Dance) originated in the field of artistic dance instruction as an antithesis to traditional ballet. It is a conceptual but also content-related merger of the two divisions of modern dance and jazz dance, the latter with its origin assigned to musical dance.
