Services offered
In our care home in Uster, the majority of residents are people who have reached a level of dependency that makes care at home impossible. The main focus of care and support in the nursing home will therefore be on people who require 24-hour care and will remain in the nursing home for a longer period of time. The length of stay depends on the needs of the client. A return to the personal home environment is possible at any time if this is desired by the client or if nursing care is guaranteed.

Medical service
Our nursing home offers a free choice of doctor.
Home doctor
Prix Santé AG has a cooperation agreement with a specialist in private practice who, as the home doctor, has medical responsibility for the nursing home and is available as a specialist resource for the Spitex service.
Home doctor
The residents of the nursing home are free to choose their GP. If a resident does not have a GP, medical care is provided by the Prix Santé home doctor.
Emergency doctor
In the event of an acute deterioration in a resident's state of health, the decision as to which doctor to call must be made on an individual basis. In principle, unless otherwise agreed or there is no acutely life-threatening situation, the family doctor or the home doctor is the first point of contact. A doctor is alerted in the following order
- General practitioner
- Home doctor
- Emergency medical service
- Rescue service 144
External specialists
In our nursing home there is a free choice of therapists
.Medical therapies
The appropriate specialist therapists are called in to carry out medically prescribed therapies, e.g. physiotherapy, in the nursing home. The selection is primarily based on the recommendation of the prescribing doctor or on the resident's personal wishes. If there is no recommendation or specific request from either of these parties, the therapist with whom a cooperation agreement exists is consulted.
The therapies can be carried out both in the care home and, if the resident's condition permits, in the therapist's practice.Coiffure / foot careWhenever possible, visits to the hairdresser, pedicurist, etc. are used as an activity and residents are encouraged to make these visits outside the home. If this is not possible or not desired by the resident, Prix Santé AG staff can organize treatment in the care home or at home.
Professional living in a Prix Santé care home
Moving into a retirement and nursing home is always a complex decision. In addition to the psychosocial issues, there are very often financial challenges and uncertainties.
As a result of this complex decision-making process, necessary and sensible transfers to assisted living are often unnecessarily delayed or not planned at all. This often leads to untenable living situations for old and elderly people in their current homes. With this in mind, Prix Santé's "trial living" offer provides a non-binding introduction to assisted and cared-for living in independent structures.People in altered or deteriorating health situations can directly experience the security and quality of life provided in an inpatient environment without having to say an abrupt farewell to their previous living situation.
