The connection between two adults who love, accept and respect each other is very precious. When one or both feel a loss of this connection it can be a good reason to come to couples therapy. In many cases, the reasons for the disconnect can be discovered and addressed. When this is no longer possible, it may be necessary to pursue separation and even divorce in order to spare each other and the children more pain. I work together with lawyers and financial specialists in the Swiss Association for Collaborative Law and Practice to find the best possible solution in the separation and divorce. My role is to help pave the way for a family living in separate households but still connected when there are children involved.
